(THE POLITICAL PARTICIPATION OF WOMEN IN INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES, AS A HUMAN RIGHT)

Abstract

The participation of women has been fundamental for democratization; However, in a multicultural country such as Mexico, there have always been discussions about what indigenous law is and what it should be, especially when the political participation of indigenous women has sometimes been limited within its own indigenous community, since based on their customary law, it can become a highly accessible space, or the most banned for women, who even in the face of social pressure have sometimes been forced to give up their aspirations and the human right.
